The film winder Wickel Star I is the first model from Metasa. Compared to ordinary film winders and film layers, the Wickel Star I offers some special features. The winder not only remedies known functional faults or the awkward operation of existing models on the market, but, in view of the practical operation, completely surpasses them. It is first and foremost an unwinder. The two extensions are infinitely adjustable. Winding tubes up to a length of 2150 mm can be worked. With the common winding tubes ( 1600 mm and 1750 mm ) the side stroke is up to 375 mm. The hydraulic unwinding brake of the Wickel Star I is also new and user-friendly. This can be switched on as required via the control system. Due to the arrangement of the bearings, the tubes run smoothly and without chattering. It works smoothly and noticeably and efficiently improves film laying.
